I mounted my GPS with the bean bag mount, it did stuck just fine on the center of the dash, but I couldn't read it. So while driving I moved it way over to the left against the windshield where the dash is not flat.

One turn and it when flying off the dash. I couldn't retrieve it while driving so all I heard her saying while it went rolling across the floor was, u-turn, u-turn one way and then u-turn, u-turn the other way over and over again!

I guess if you throw her around she gets confused!

Good thing it was the GPS and not the DW navigator in that position. You would have heard a lot worse.

We call our GPS lady Rudie, because she is alway rude to us. OFF ROUTE, OFF ROUTE, RECALCULATING, RECALCULATING. I will be driving down the road and she will show me driving in a lake.

Everybody has a name, sometimes two names, for their GPS unit. Ours is Lola and she's a real bit** about getting her way.

I recently purchased a Tomtom One Third Edition, and downloaded a male Australian voice. So, after ignoring his directions about three times, we were quite surprised to hear "Buggar, buggar, buggar.......

And, Tomtoms's routing engine rarely calls for a U-turn. So, we really cracked up the first time we heard "Chuck a Uee.........."

But.......what a fantastic, inexpensive gadget!

My BIL has I-dunno-which, and it kept telling him to make a turn in the middle of an overpass. He & his co-workers found out the company was using some freebie satellite-photo info. Coders couldn't tell his overpass was not just an intersection. So his talking-GPS couldn't grasp why he didn't turn there.

That Garmin witch...she's just lucky I didn't throw her and her sorry attitude right out the window, lol.

So I switched to Ozzie Guy. But he says right when he means left, and can't tell Drive from Doctor. I've turned on quite a few physicians by now...

Now I have American Guy. He's boring. He's vanilla. But I haven't felt like slapping him, so I think he can stay.

I have a Garmin that allows me to choose the voices. I have a very proper British lady that we have named "Beatrice". When I miss a turn, she says "Recalculating". If I miss it again, I swear I can hear a bit of icy irritation in her oh-so-proper voice.
