We're considering taking the B along the southeast coast, Georgia area, next late winter/spring. We've never explored any of the southeast except Florida. Is there a best time of year? Some recommended routes? We'd like to stay near one or the other of the waterways.

I would wait as late as you can... it is still quite cold in March. April will be much better. There are several places to camp along the coast. Jekyll Island and Hilton Head both have CG's. Skidawat State Park is very good. Hunting Island Stae Park near Beaufort SC is a great place. Several places around Charleston.

You may want to add Blythe Island to your list of Campgrounds. Neat County Park, not far from Brunswick.
