I have a question about my roof. I have a 2008 35 RLSA and was up on the roof and noticed a couple of things I had not seen before. I should also say this is the first time I actually got up on the roof. First I had a couple of bubbles that seemed to go away when I rubbed them. Second it appears there are a couple of spots where something sharp is under the rubber roof. In both cases they are towards the edge where some kind of support is underneath the roof. And third by our rear AC unit right in front of the ladder there is a seam where it looks like the second section is sticking, like it's a thickness higher. I know this should be looked at by a dealer, I'm wondering if any of you have had similar experiences and how they were fixed.

It is still under warranty right? Take it in and have it looked at. As far as the bubbles we had them on ours so pretty normal there. Go to the 5th wheel section, there is a current thread on the 35 models and Jayco talk. They have more recent Jayco and could probably answer your question. Ask your question there, an active thread.

I have a few things, but nothing really that sharp. I do have some bubbles or slight wrinkles. I would have the sharp spots looked at.

We have an '07 Designer and have had great luck with anything getting fixed with our dealer. Heck, you have a 2 year warranty so take it back and get everything fixed you need. PS We love our unit.

Having them fix it might open a up a whole can of worms. It would just depend on what they did for the repair. You have to be the judge on how "sharp" the object is your talking about but you might consider putting several layers of Parabond roofing compound on it. I did this on my trailer with great results.

Thanks everyone. I sort of feel the same way about having it fixed. It would be easy to slice it open remove the problem and put a patch on it. I don't like that idea but I will have it looked at and documented at least.
