....and they are headed to Oklahoma City. The deal has been struck giving the city $45M, and away they go. Forty one years this team has been here.......pathetic leadership in our city, our county, and our state.

Just out of curiosity, how many games have you attended in the last 41 years?

.....probably somewhere around 350 to 400. I used to get in free with my basball association card, have several friends with season tickets. A few of my buddies are in local sports radio so they will be affected, many restaurants will be affected, and all the collateral businesses who depend on crowds of fans......

I know OKC is getting ready for them. There are plenty of basketball fans around there who are excited about the new team! I hope they do well in their new home.

....they had a pretty good draft, Sam Presti is a great GM, I think they have a very bright future. Many fans here are quite dejected......

You might have gotten in for free, but I bet it still cost you. How much was a beer at the games?
Sorry for you loss but OKC sure has some momentum. I won't be attending any games, don't like sports, but it is sure to only help add to the other attractions in the city.

...exactly Mike, even if one doesn't care for or participate in activities or events, a vibrant city has a variety of offerings. Far sighted people appreciate the something for everyone mentality....
...beer, hot dogs, parking, after the game stuff......always spent money.

As I understand the deal, Seattle still has an opportunity to get another NBA team if the city updates Key Arena and brings it up to current NBA standards. Seattle will also keep the colors and team name to use for a future team.
I know it's a sad day to lose a team and I also have a few friends that work for the team that will also be affected. I hope it all works our for the best for all those involved.

never even knew seattle had a basketball team,

a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside,
