How many PDs don't go to boost mode on thier own either and you have to change modes manually?

Probably none. I had 65 feet of number 6 between my PD9160 and battery, it worked perfectly although I could never get over 33 amps out of it until I upgraded the wiring.

Nope. Every single one of them won't unless you upgrade the wiring and even then they don't do like you think.

I've been on this forum a long time and the PD will perform perfectly without the need to change the wiring with the exception of charging at lower amps. This has been documented by myself and a many other members. I'm not sure what your problem was, perhaps you just had a bad converter or charge wizard.

The Charge Wizard (Built into the PD 9200 line, optional on the 9100) controls the voltage during bulk, absorption and float Modes same as the WFCO, However if the voltage remains stable for enough time (Aroudn 25hours IIRC) it goes into a brief "Equalize" cycle, or de-sulfate cylcle. which may be a good thing.. The WFCO does not do this, I'm not sure it can be done manually (You can also force it on the PD)

My WFCO does do the equilize approximately every 24 hours.
And it is well documented by member YoDude9999 here: http://www.dudesrv.com/WFCOTheRealDirt.htm

Why do you want to change the old one out?

Take your pick:
1. I wanted a 3 stage charger, and my 7345 isn't.
2. I like to cause trouble. Look at some of the arguments that have erupted from the other threads I have started.

Bobbo, this has nothing to do with converters, but that's a good-looking dog you got there. We have three German Shepherds.
