Thanks everyone. You've all helped me out a lot. There are just so many brands to sift through, it makes my head swim. Either the Montana makes more people happy than any other brand of fifth wheel, or the people who buy Montana RVs are more inclined to write about them. Of all the information I can find on the internet about Fifth Wheel RVs, I just keep reading about how happy people are with their Montana units. Because the Mountaineer is more in my price range, I hope the same holds true for those units.
We love our 2007 Mountaneer 307 RKD, trouble free and all the amenities we wanted at a great price. We're glad we bought when we did as they've made the rig smaller and taken away some valuable storage with the new units of the same floorplan.

sfretts give a good compairison.We have the 06 3400 montana.Mountaineer series also makes TT's. Depends on what you want and need in a camper. Take a good look and both that will give you a better idea.
