We are flying to Michigan tomorrow morning (Just for the weekend) and will see the fireworks while on my brother-in-law's boat. Can't wait to feel some cooler weather!

Thanks, Rodger and Happy Independence Day to all. This is the only fireworks we'll see this year - we hope!! The campgrounds are full around here with mostly city people. The Piute fire is not too far from us so the air is very smoky. Maybe the campers will notice, be more careful and not start another.

Fun link, Rodger!

It reminds me of when I was at the fireworks for the Statue of Liberty centennial celebration, when I stood in the street near one of the WTC buildings...the people pouring out of the tower after the display was over was almost more amazing than the fireworks display had been.

Wishing all an enjoyable Independence Day, with a nod of gratitude to Thomas Jefferson and John Adams (who both died on July 4th, exactly 50 years after the signing of the Declaration of Independence...just in case you didn't know).
