Anyone tried to adjust the Mor-ryde suspension themselves. I would like to raise mine up to the next set of holes and hate to take it back to the dealer if I can do it myself. This is on a 2008 Jayco Designer. I've read where others have had it done but haven't seen where anyone has actually done it themselves.
If you've done it can you share how you did it.
Thanks!!

I am assuming you are talking about the pin box not the axle suspension. I have lowered mine one hole which in turn raised the 5th about 1 1/4" additional clearance over the truck sides. I used a floor jack (can use a bottle jack) on a stand under the pin box and removed the bolts. However, the pin box was tight on the 5th bracket and I had to force the pin box to drop. It was a very easy process.

I am going to raise mine in the next couple of weeks. It's not going to be that difficult as I just had it all apart a few weeks ago installing the wet bolt kit and changing the plates in between the springs. Since then, I have installed a 5th airborne pin box and want to level the rig out again.
To answer your original question, when I installed the wet bolt kit, I lowered the front landing gear really low, jacked up on the frame on each side behind the axles with a 20 ton bottle jack. Braced the frame up with boards and put heavy jack stands under each side of the frame. Lowered the rear stabilizer jacks just for added security and raised the front back up some. I then removed all 4 tires and replaced 1 side at a time. It took me a few hours to change out the bolts. The worst part was hitting my finger once.

Is it the IS suspension or the RS? With the IS, it should be just a little more work than changing a tire. Once the tire is removed, put a jack or other support under the end of the swing arm before removing the bolts that secure the rubber suspension. On mine, there is just one additional set of holes available that would raise the trailer 1 inch.

Not sure if it's IS or RS..Not sure what's the difference. I'll look in the paperwork that came with the unit. Theres only 1 hole that I can raise it up. Looks like there are some smaller bolts in the center where the mor-ryde assembly is that also needs to be moved.

Which Designer model do you have We have an 07 34RLQS and love it. I am not sue I would adjust the Mor Ryde, but maybe just the hitch height. I let the dealer handle it anyway. Too many major things can happen and that is delicate territory!
Hope you like the Designer.

Jim,
We have the 31RLTS and love it too. I'm a little nose high and lowering the hitch or raising the oin box will get too close to the bed for my taste. I would like to get additional room for the rear landing gear as well. Looks like I might gain 1-1/2" if raising the mor/ryde susp. I may get the dealer to do it if it's too big of a hassle to do myself.
Thanks

PM me your email and I can send you the 2 prints that mor ride sent me. They may help you determine which suspension you have. I can't figure out how to attach a file.
