I have a 2005 Springdale TT. I have cut the hot water switch off on the inside of the TT. But I am unable to cut off the toggle switch on the hot water tank. I just got back from our first camping trip. We had to dewinterize our TT before we left. I had to reinsert the drain plug on the hot water tank, because that was the way it was when we bought the TT. Is their something that I am doing wrong?

Look up threads on de-winterizing. Did you turn the bypass valves on the water heater to restore water flow? The switch in the trailer in most instances is for the wh to run on propane. The toggle switch at the wh is to operate it on electric. NEVER turn this switch on unless you are sure there is water in the wh.

The problem is he is heating hot water...a hot water heater. My trailer has a water heater which makes water hot.

Not sure what you mean by "cut-off".
The outside switch is a rocker switch that you just push. There is a safety pin that goes through that switch but that keeps it from being turned to the "on" position.
We are a little confused here.

Whatever you do, DO NOT apply power to the water heater unless you are sure it is filled with water. If all that you did to de-winterize was to install the drain-plug, then most likely the by-pass valves on the back of the water heater are still in the by-pass mode and no water is entering the water heater.

While I was camping I turn the switch inside and outside to ON. When we started home I turned the inside switch to OFF but could not turn the outside switch OFF
