A campground we go to often has a checkin / checkout time of noon, earlier if the site is vacant. One morning we were breaking camp and had just moved the picnic table away from the camper. A car pulls into our site, the couple get out and sit at the table for an early lunch. .. uh.... "Excuse Me!!" Their reply was that they were told at the office when they registered that we were leaving so they felt it was ok to use the "other half" of the site until we left. I let them know we owned the WHOLE site until we departed!

We ran into a very similar situation last summer...we were on a wooded site and there was a path through the woods from the back side of it that went to the camp store. So, everyone around us felt it was appropriate to cut right through our site (right between our TT and picnic table, not around the perimeter). We decided to reposition our site and block the entrance to it with our camp table, grill, picnic table etc so there wasn't a clear way to cut through. It worked

A few things I would do.....first, when they walk thru YOUR campsite, say "Excuse me, can I help you?" I am sure they will look at you strange and say "just walking to the bathroom". There is your opportunity to tell them to use the road or walkway and not YOUR site, or maybe charge them a toll charge for cutting thru your site. Second thing you can do if find out what site they have and go walk thru their site, dump your coffee on their site, etc. Another thing you can do is address the issue with campground hosts and share your experience on RV Park Reviews. Although it may not be the campground hosts that are cutting thru your campsite, they are responsible for enforcing park rules (if there are provided rules about cutting thru others campsites).
Remember, you most likely paid the same for your site as others have paid, and it is YOUR site. Bottom line, you are the customer and have the final say with your vote on where you stay and voicing your opinion on the campground.

As a footnote, I had this similar experience last summer at a private campground. I mentioned something to the person and they told me they were full timers. Excuse me? Do full timers that are at the campground for months get the right to cut thru my camp site because I am a weekend warrior? I voiced my opinion and info on where the full timer was camped, with the camp hosts. They just smiled and said, "Yep, that is the way ol' XYZ is. Just ignor them". Needless to say I told them I would never stay there gain and would share this info with anyone I could and I have posted this info on many RV review sites.

I would've backed your SUV right up to the front of the TT so they couldn't go through!

Well, it looks like this was happened to others. I will make a point to check out for the restrooms in the future. To bad we did not get to pick the site ahead of time.
thanks

Soon as I pulled into my campsite this weekend I found a Ford Explorer parked smack in the middle of my campsite (pull through). Went and asked everyone who's it was and got nadda. Went to the office and they said they wouldn't tow it unless it was blocking a road to just wait. So I unhooked the truck, grabbed my towline, attatched it to their hitch and dragged it out into the road then setup my TT. About 30 minutes later it was towed when about 3 class A's were sitting in the middle of the road waiting for it to move. Never heard from the owner but what a great start to a weekend.

It is crazy how inconsiderate people are. Last year we were having a nice camp until the neighbors moved in next to us. They had loud music and they did not even act like there was anyone else in the camp. We got up one morning to have them sitting and eating on the picnic table that was in our site, chained down, and each site had their own. Their table was full of junk and garbage, so I guess mine was just cleaner so why not invade. Many people out there now days have no manners and are not considerate to anyone but themselves. Why do you think they are dubbing this next generation the "ME" generation. It is all about ME. What are these parents teaching their kids? Nothing from what I can see.
