I don't seem to have that problem, My pitbull (Precious) likes to take naps outside on her long chain. When I go camping my neighbors seem to be so standoffish

We don't usually have that problem. We always ask for a site far away from bathhouses, pools, playgrounds and rec centers. Also some campgrounds have a built-in walkway between sites and we always avoid those. If we can't avoid them we don't stay there.

Really like denmar528's comment to "join us for meals also". Think I might greet the next passerthru by acting delighted that we have "visitors". Wonder how that will work??

The part of this thread I like is.....it makes us all aware and mindful of others sites. Hopefuly someone reading this post that cuts through others sites will now be informed to not do it anymore. I will admit once i got lost at a campsite and walked through the wrong one thinking it was ours.

We consider it to be very rude!! As said, try not to end up in a spot near restroom path, etc. Seems like a lot of the parents don't know that going thru another's site is just plain bad camping etiquette; therefore, kids are not taught at a young age like we were.

People walking through our site...it really never happens to us, maybe its our 100 pound German Shepherd--or maybe its because the places we go...them folks got manners.

Thank goodness this has only happen to us a few times and the next time we camp at those CG we make sure not to pick the same sites. The thing that happens more often is the people walking their dogs and let them poop in or right next to your site......Smile and walk away without scooping it up!!!!! Now just what makes their dog poop different? Do they think it's someone else's job to do the scooping? We have camped with our dog for years and always pick up her poop plus we always try to walk her away from other campers. Being good neighbors and good dog owners go hand in hand. We teach our grandkids to be mindful of others and not to walk in their campsite and to always ask if they may pet their dog.
Maybe finding the camp host/Ranger and having a talk with them would help out with others walking through your campsite.........Couldn't hurt........

After almost a month on the road we only had two small problems. Once a whole family suddenly biked through our campsite setting the dogs off barking. We like to keep the dogs quiet so I wasn't pleased. The family were camping behind us so I'm sure they were aware that I was annoyed. It didn't happen again.
The second incident was at an unserviced campsite when the fellow beside us turned on his generator just as we were sitting down outside for our morning coffee. I just shouted to my partner that WE'LL JUST HAVE TO YELL OVER THE NOISE. The fellow came out and turned it off until we were done.

It HAS happened. For us, the solution was not to book any future sites near the restrooms. Of course, this is not a 'catch all' solution.
We recently camped at a local park where our site was next to a hill. This hill attracted many bike-riding kids, who periodically came peddling right in front of our awning and then down the hill. During this same trip, there were tenters across the road whose kid decided he wanted to use the side of my trailer as a backstop to bounce his small rubber ball. When I told him to stop, they all looked at me as if I had three heads. Simply amazing!

Poor planning on your part does not create an issue on my part. Every CG I have been to provides a map of sorts. Look where the showers, bathrooms, public beach area, and boat ramp are. Do NOT rent a space near any of them.
I am a city kid, and I learned at a young age, small spaces might belong to others. The house on the corner did not have a front fence, but did have a muddy path where everyone cut through. New owners bought the property, installed a few roase bushes, and we all avoided the thorns.
No, don't plant a rose bush at the CG, do your homework instead. Check the site's layout, proximity to facilites, etc. A little forethought goes a long way.
btw, we have not had this happen, but, we do invite camping neighbors to be neighborly.
