Me too!
Most of the avocados produced in the US come from right here in San Diego county and I've NEVER heard of Grilled Avocado

My good friend here does it...here's how (I watched):

Use, Ripe, not real soft avocados if you can.
Cut in half and remove seed...leave skin on
Sprinkle with seasonings - she used her husband's special blend (he's a chef) called Agape Seasoning (he's trying to get it marketed)

I'd use: season salt, pepper, a bit of sugar (I know he puts some in Agape)garlic & onion powder - mix all that up and sprinkle on the avocado.

Place skin side down on grill for about 3 mins., flip and repeat. Remove...let cool a bit. Use a large spoon to scoop the avocado out in 1 scoop and serve. THEY'RE THE BOMB! Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

We had the classic menu of pulled pork, my mom's awesome potato salad, calico beans, sweet corn, fresh cut up veggies, and fresh banana cake with cream cheese frosting. Oh yeah, also rice and chap chae.... my spouse is Chinese, we always have to eat rice with every meal. Funny, that's what got eaten first by my family.
