Does anyone know if there is an OBD II plug in my 99 National Tradewinds 7371 DP, 300HP Cat, Freightliner XC?

I have searched under the dash and under the side console where the Allison control pad is located. No where to be found.

Might it be in the back somewhere?

In our T'winds, it was under the dash, hidden in a bundle of wires. It could also be behind the side panel by the fuse block.

You should have one. Look for a bundle of wires.

Don't think the diesels have one, cat has their own system.

It will have a diagnostic plug but it is not OBDII, that is a gas engine interface.

I would call Scan Gauge after the holiday.

I was not able to get an adapter to use my scan gauge on my DP. There may be some that do but mostly I think they work with pick up truck diesels. Cummins and Cat both have their own unique interfaces. Silver Leaf is one display that works well with them. Scan Gauge has some new features, I'll be interested to see what you find out.

Dewey, you might want to call the folks at Linear Logic in Mesa AZ who sells the SGII. Their number is 480-656-4089

I don't think they will work on a diesel engine, but not sure.
