I recently received an e-mail from Garmin letting me know that there is an update available for my 350.
they claim that the update will make my GPS "fully routable",being as I can,at this time only load 1 way point, fully routable sound real good.My question is....has any one else purchased the update, and if so what were the results?
I bought the last update and do not want to sped the $69.99 if ther is not going to be much of an improvement.
Thanks
Ed
Hmmm... to my knowledge, Garmin only charges for map updates. Sounds like you have a system update. I'd click on the whatchamacallit Garmin update wizard, plug the GPS into the puter and let it rip.
Ed,
I have a nuvi 350. When I have a route set and I enter another destination, it asks if this is a "via" route or not. If I say yes, it directs me to the 2nd destination, then to the original one. If I say no, it deletes the original destination.
Does yours do this?

I got the same e-mail. It was for the 2009 map program.
You can go to there web site and get GPS updates. These are free and each GPS is differnet. It will tell you what updates it has for your GPS. I just did mine last week. But did not by the 2009 map program.

Meh - Only if you don't write your own way-point files. I updated a Street Pilot 530 a while back and they changed the base routing software to encrypt everything and run all binary, no more XML.

Mine does the same thing. She thinks that your 2nd destination is where you now want to go. there can only be one destination at a time
with 1 way point (or "via")
What i am hoping is that when Garmin says "fully routable",they mean
that I can enter more than just the one via point.
Does any one know if that is correct? If not, I won't be buying the 2009 maps
I have a Nuvi 350 and have updated the software but not installed the 2009 map but I don't believe that installing the map will enable the 350 to be "fully routable." I could find nothing on the website that would make me think otherwise.
