MY PUMA 30FQSS HAS JACKS UNDER BOTH ENDS OF IT AND EVEN WHEN THEY ARE DOWN THERE IS STILL QUITE A BIT OF PLAY IN THE MIDDLE WHEN WALKING AROUND IN THE RV. I ASKED THE DEALER ABOUT ADDING A 3RD SET IN THE MIDDLE TO TAKE UP THE SLACK BUT THEY SAID I COULDN'T DO THAT BECAUSE OF THE SLIDE AND THE FACT THAT IT MAY CAUSE IT PROBLEMS. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE TO HELP ALLEVIATE THE PROBLEM? (I EVEN TRIED THE OLD TRIPOD JACKS BETWEEN THE TIRES UP AGAINST THE LEAVE SPRING MOUNT BUT THAT DIDN'T SEEM TO HELP EITHER.

The movement isn't coming from the jacks, it is coming from your tires movings. Use a good chok like the BAL choks that go between the tires. They are pricey but nothing works better. This stopped 90% of my movement. Also after you have you jacks down I raise up power jack up just a little, this seems to settle the TT on the jacks and helps with some of the movement, but the biggest factor is tire movement.

I take the weight off the tires a little with a small jack between the wheels. This helps quite a bit. Also, I have started to lower the tongue jack just a little to add weight to the front stabilizers and that seems to help some. After the TT settles in the first night, I re-adjust the above. The TT still has some movement after all that but it is a lot less.

I have a hard time imagining that using some additional support near the axles could possibly be a problem to your slide and it sounds like you are right on track about the problem. Longer trailers often have suspension bounce when stab jacks are placed at each end and this can make them uncomfortable. I can see a possible problem INSTALLING additional jacks in the center with some configurations but using screw type jack stands will accomplish the same thing. You can at LEAST test the solution by using them and their cost is next to nothing at Walmart or other sources. I use a pair under my trailer whenever I'm staying more than a single night and they work just fine. Good luck / Skip

I gave up trying to get my scissor stabilizers to work. I went to Wal-Mart and bought some old-fashioned screw-up jacks for about $30, and they work like a charm. Camp on!

IMHO no matter what you do there will still be movement in the RV. It rests on springs so anything you do to the tires will help but not eliminate the movement.
We tried Wayne's Stabilizer which helps also PROVIDED it rests on a concrete pad. If not, the gravel/dirt moves with the RV.
If you have kids moving around there is no hope! Grownups can move more slowly.

We used the BAL type wheel chocks and still had quite a bit of movement and we dont have any slides and only a 25' camper.

We added a set of stabilizers in front of the wheels and WOW what a differance. I had a god firend do the same with his 30' TT that has a slide and he said the same thing. WHAT A DIFFERANCE!

Add the extra set in front of the axles and you wont be dissapointed
