Oxymoron. That toxic sludge has little or nothing in common with coffee save the name. I wouldn't even dump it in my black tank for fear of it eating through.

PS--I use an old stove-top percolator.

Better yet, a French Press with a steel thermos. We use one in MH and since my coffee is always better in the MH than at home I just switched at home too. French press brings out great flavours and the thermos will keep it piping hot for hours. NO more burnt coffee
Of course a nice Heffeweizen in the morning ain't so bad either...

Good ideas,,,,but...Had an under counter in the MH when I bought it, but caraffe missing. I took it off and discarded it. I only want coffee about an hour a day and don't need that thing hanging down in the way for the other 23 hours!

Now that I read all about the french press, I'm amazed. I get up all bleary-eyed, groping around for the pot and hoping to get it going. From the looks of the French Press, It might make great coffee, but don't want to assemble the coffeepot, just want some...NOW!!

Honestly that link is a bit over the top. I simply add 4 scoops, and boil water, fill to the top metal line of mine with boiling water, wait 3 min or so and then pour into my thermos. Faster than my old drip machine. And the coffee is so much better. this is NOT your normal drip coffee from a can. This is luxury if you use good beans. Kind of like cheap beer vs a good micro brew, wine from a box vs a winery reserve bottle. Those that care really care, those that don't enjoy a cheap cup of caffeine. Trouble is once you understand what you *can* have it gets harder to go back to coffee from a vat. kinda like going back to a pop up from our Class A's

Gee, I've been using a French Press for years, I didn't have to assemble anything. Instructions for use are the simplest I've ever seen:
1. Put in coffee.
2. Put in water.
3. Push handle down.
4. Pour coffee.
I only dismantle and clean MAYBE once a month. Coffee wise, I've lived by what an old Navy Chief told me 45 years ago "Don't clean nothin', just make coffee"! It works for me

hehe I join Gevalia every 2 years... Get a coffee pot for free and then I move the 2 yr old Pot to the MH. I like my free coffee. Just pay the 15.95 for the pot PLUS I get 2 coffees.
and not I don't work for Gevalia... Just like the deals!!! Oh and the coffee too...

You mentioned cabinet height problems, so you would need to check if this would fit in you application.
Very, very happy with quality of the coffee from the pod's. Just don't let them assimilate you...
I like my coffee strong, so set off two pods at 5 0z. DW likes her's on the normal side, so she used one pod at 8 0z. No fuss, no mess. We get our pods from either Pete's coffee or Reunion. Fun to mix them up from time to time as we try different brews...
Works for us... and Bean's us Up!!
Good luck,
Smitty
Now, where did I place my beer, all this pod talking has made me powerfully thirsty...
