You can probably follow the link below, or google 'van explodes'. Gasoline fumes, oxygen tanks, and smoking in the van do not mix well.... http://video.nbc6.net/player/?id=272775#videoid=27277 The driver suffered some burns, but apparently wasn't seriously injured. I suppose the insurance company may total the van .

I might have missed here but why was someone taking a video of it? Was this a security camera?
To see the doors fly off is incredible and to have the driver survive with minimal injuries is surprising to me.
I think the insurance company will take a hard look at this one.

I'm pretty sure it was a security camera. Judging from the bars on the store windows, it's a high-crime area.

It was a few years ago when some teen boys filled some balloons with welding gas, after finding out that when you touched a lit cigarette to one it would produce a neat ball of fire. Cool, huh? Then the geniuses piled themselves and some of the balloons in a car and headed to a party to impress their friends. When one of them lit up a joint in the back seat...well lets just say that most of the hair on their bodies vanished, some of their clothing disappeared along with their hearing!

Wow... good thing it was early in the morning so the street was empty and the school hadn't opened.

It's my understanding that Oxygen is a part of a fire but not the combustible property. If it was Oxygen leaking, the cigarette would have burnt right down into the guys throat but the van wouldn't have blown up. Right?
