Three years ago today, we were watching the July 4th festivities and parade in Anchorage. We wish we were there today!

We camped at the Anchorage RV Park and have been saddened to hear that it has been sold for development.

We envy you who are in the wonderful State of Alaska today and wish you the same sense of joy and awe we felt on our five weeks there.

Happy 4th!

Jim

Thanks for your wishes. We too miss the Anchorage RV Park. We are currently in Golden Nugget waiting for my sister and brother-in-law to arrive today. They will probably be too tired to watch fire works tonight (me too) but we are enjoying our fellow campers.

P.S. I still can't get used to it being 'broad' daylight when I go to bed each night.

We have a good view of the city from our house and watch the fireworks from our deck. They're not as spectacular as they would be if it were fully dark, but they're still nice.

I miss a lot of things about Anchorage! July 4th is at the top of the list.

Hi Jim,

3 years ago we watched the same parade and festivities - listened to all the patriotic speeches. We probably saw you there.

Notice Alaska - we will be watching your parade, in person, again next year.

Fulltimers. No more grass to cut, no more leaves to rake, and can move if we don't like our neighbors.

States we spent time in, drive throughs not marked.
