I'm cureous as to the price of diesel fuel in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick at this time. We're headed up there next month and I'm just trying to get a feel as to how much fuel is going to run.

Thanks!

About $1.50 a litre for diesel, which would be around $5.70 a US gallon

$5.15 Gallon next door to Disneyland, Anaheim. Those "fuel prices by location" websites are virtually worthless, having used several of them lately, all have been dead wrong, .15 to .20 per gallon higher. Me thinks the gas station owners post prices just to get you in there!

Ditto that. The 3 times I used Gasbuddy.com the info was wrong. Last Mon. I went to a Saver station in New London, CT. GB.com said that it was a truck stop with all the amenities and diesel was $4.52, cash only. It turned out to be a tiny 2 pump station and didn't even sell diesel. I e-mailed GB.com and they sent me a form letter saying they were doing the best that they can. I say, if you can't do any better, close down the site. How many thousands of people have gone out of their way only to find the prices wrong?

We just drove thru both provinces on our way to Nfld, where we currently are...Rocky Harbour to be precise. Fuel was expensive...but cheaper than Quebec!...It was anywhere from $1.50 to $1.59 per litre throughout NB and NS. Paid as high as $1.63 in Quebec.

On the exchange rate. We are in Canada right now. Some places accept Greenbacks on a 1 for 1 basis. We had one store add a surcharge of about 9%.

At least in Canada you can use your $US, try using $CND in US. The best thing to do is use the currency of the country that you are visiting.
