Hey all,
Wasnt sure where to put this....we are headed to River planation
next month and was wondering what some of you smokie-holics think are
some of the best shows and places to eat?

We had to cancel trip to South Dakota for several reasons and want the
daughter to see some Americana before she re-locates with the Navy for Spain for 2 years

Give me your best stuff!

Thanks all, Happy 4th of July and God HAS Blessed America!!!

Calhouns for dinner, ribs and a great spinach dish. For dinner and a show, check out the Dixie Stampede. A little pricey at around $40, but we really enjoy it. The Comedy Barn also has a great show.

Country Tonite is good-they have different performers {George Jones will be there in July}, The Comedy Barn, and Dixie Stampede are also good, they also have a Passion Play in Pigeon Forge which we have heard is good, but haven't been there yet. We enjoy eating at The Bullfish Grill-P Forge, Peddler-Gatlinburg, Pancake Pantry-Gatlinburg, and the Apple Barn-P Forge.

Apple Barn for breakfast in Pigeon Forge. None better!! Great American steakhouse is pretty good--not your "average" steak-buffet place (PF also).

Apple Barn & Old Mill get my votes..Comedy Barn is a good time..If you like all you can eat fried chicken or catfish than Huck Finn's is the place to go..

2nd these. Went to Dixie stampede last visit was well pleased they serve a meal also was expecting the meal to be so-so and was surprised that it was actually pretty good. Comedy barn was a hoot also. Has been a while but went to see a play in cherokee that was good unto these hills I think was the name. Also Smokey mountain jubilee is a good show. Dollywood is pretty good also.
