The standard 14" vent covers on my TT rattle when the wind blows due to slop in the slot and raising arm. Very irritating when I would like the trailer quiet for reading, naps, etc. Will MaxAir covers fix this? Or is there a brand of vent cover that is quiet? I have to replace the existing covers due to deterioration of the cover material- developing holes on the edges.

MaxAir covers are the to keep the rain out, so you can have your vent open. It may help, it will reduce the amount of air that will be blowing against it.I just put one on my 2008 and it makes all the difference. Now when it is raining I can leave the vent open. If it rattles that bad I would replace it and put the maxair cover on it too. Good luck.

Replacing the vent covers will solve the problem for awhile but everything will get sloppy again with use and the rattles will be back. We found an easy fix if you don't want to go to the expense of installing MaxAir covers. Buy some of the littlest bungy cords that you can find. Hook one end to the cross bar on the frame and the other end to the cross bar on the vent cover. Adjust until there's a little tension when the vent is opened. Almost total silence , even on windy days. You may have to drill a few small holes in the cross members.
