We would like to add an exterior fold-up/down table to our 17' Komfort trailer for rainy days under the awning. For ideas, can anyone point me to a site or source where someone has already tackled this project? I have searched and was surprised to find very little... Thanks...
I have a plastic one it looks like it is made of metal
not only does it fold the legs fold inside while the table folds
like a billfold.
I got mine at CW years ago.
I have seen camping tables that roll up like a blanket, others that just fold all can be had at K-Mart or Wall*Mart.
Lowes sells a very nice plastic table with folding legs for $34.00.
the size is around 4' long by 30" wide. I take along two.
i like the fact that they don't connect to the Tt and I can use them anywhere at the campsite.
I have tried ones that fold in half but I don't like them because they eventually sag at the center hinge and are un-stable as well.

I made an exterior table for our TT out of plywood with pine mldgs for the edge. Sealed with clear epoxy paint. It mounts to the side with a "table rail" and has a folding leg. It sits approx 28" from the ground, depending on how level the site is. When traveling it is carried in the TT under the bed, being cut just long enough to fit the width of the bed frame box. We almost never use the TT kitchen, most cooking outside, wash water, food prep. I also have a propane stove w/quick connect to the TT.
The table rail and folding leg are usually sold by most RV parts house, rail is 2 piece, one for side of TT, and other for table edge. Folding leg extends to level the table. On our trailer the rail is mounted right above the wheel wells, screwed into the floor wood and sealed well. Depending on how your TT is built, it may mount on the side above the floor area, and would need to be screwed into the wall studs. I believe they are around 30 inches long or so. My table is 24" wide. Table attaches by lifting into track and then locking into the body rail when level.
