Don't bother!. reserved there a couple weeks ago and the site we had was "slight slope" that = about 10 degrees. Sites are tight, we're 35' and we FILLED our spot. We stayed about 10 minutes said "this is stupid" and drove off. There are many nicer places in the area.

Just came back from the Oregon Coast and spent 3 nights at Wenberg on the way up through Washington. I believe this was a county park that converted to state-run some years back. Wonderful beach/park area on Lake Goodwin for families with small kids, and there were lots of them in the park. Bring ear plugs unless you can sleep through howling babies at 6:30 am! Smoke from too many campfires in too small an area was a problem. Tent area looks better than the trailer loop: non-reserved looks best of all if you have a tent or small TT.
Layout of the trailer loop is basically a disaster. Only two really decent sites: #11 and #16 (ours!). WSP just posted new pictures of the sites on the reservation website: take a close look and know that what you see is exactly what you get. A small TT plus TV will fill site #1 end to end (pull-through) and your TV will stick out on the road, vulnerable to clipping by other rigs trying to squeeze by. Neighbor's campfire will be 3' from the side of your rig. And watch out for the big jagged rocks that divide the sites from the road!
Moral of the story: if you can get site #16 or #11, Wenberg is survivable with a big rig. (If you travel with friends #12/13 at the end of the loop is also OK but you have to phone to make the booking.) If you have little kids and want to play at the lake, this could be a great place. If you just want a place to park, the private RV park between Wenberg & the interstate looks more suitable.
