Just purchased this unit and already have issues. It has a onan 7k generator, it cranks fine but when i turn on the main a/c, it runs for about 2 minutes then turns off, (generator and the a/c). I switched the ref. to gas and the a/c will run on low but that is it. Also, when i run the dash a/c the belt whines loud then quits and ever so often whines again. Does it need a new belt or belt dressing? We camped with the unit and on shore power every thing went fine. But with a longer trip planned later, shouldn't the generator be able to run the unit a/c, ref, and lights and tv while traveling down the road????? This is my first rv and any help and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Also, i have no owners manual for the unit, is there a website or place that i might be able to purchase one????

There is a winter/summer lever on the generator, see if it is flipped to winter setting. Also check the oil level and try changing the oil and filter. Make sure the gas gauge reads over 1/4 tank or it may be running the generator out of gas. If the 1/4 tank is at the right level the gen will start run a minute then shut down. I had a 93 Vectra liked the unit.

Here's the link to Winnebago's site where you can download the Winnebago brochure:

http://www.winnebagoind.com/products/pre........ls/1996/pdfs/vectra/1996Vectralowres.pdf

Owner's manuals for motorhomes are pretty generic. You probably need to go to the website for systems (like the Onan generator) to find manuals. Generally, they are all available for free download.
