Well the little lever on the commode like to stick open. Filling up the tank and eventually into the trailer. I forgot to tell out company the second time before we went to bed. I awakened in the middle of the night to a waterfall in the bathroom.

So questions would be what is problem with the toilet not closing all the way? Is there a spring that should pull this back closed that has weekend?

Each time it flooded from the commode down under the fridge on past the water heater/furnace, up to the front of the trailer. It drained out through the little seams that goes down the trailer. I immediately took all panels I could out each time and put fans blowing on it. Should I be concerned with my floor rotting now?

I would have given that toilet the deep 6 after the first time. I learned the hard way that a new toilet is cheap enough to simply replace it rather than fight with a problem one.

I don't think you need a new commode!!! You need to investigate the valve, it may just need some lube, I assume there would be a return spring or something to close the valve and reset the pedal. If you are mechanically inclined this should be easy. If you can give me the make and model number by Pm I can probably find a schematic of it and tell you what the problem is.

those toilets are only plastic, and if not evenly torqued down, they can warp, causing the slide valve to bind. had the same problem on two class a's.

Well, since no one else answered you question about rot, I will try, but I am a noobie at this. I would say, yes you need to worry about rot. At the same time, I would say no b/c you put fans in and I am assuming mopped it up and got it dry. I would pull up any flooring and check it

No I wouldn’t worry to about rot in the floor from this. With the temps were they are now and as long as you mopped up the main water and put fans in the affected areas you should be fine.

Now on to the toilet, I would think all you need is a new valve. You didn’t say what kind of TT you have or what brand toilet is in it.

I agree you need a new toilet. As in the new toilet that comes in a new TT. Will the floors rot out? LIKELY they will. But more importantly is the MOLD!!!! This flooding may or may not cause mold, but if it does, its there to stay UNTIL you replace the flooring
