Megacab to continue into 2010? I wonder what will power this beast with rumors abound that the 2010 Duramax will have over 700ft-lbs...

It looks like an intentional illusion. I think that's the real crew cab. If you look at the top center pic full size, you can see where the canvas fits tight to the rear of the cab and then it's kinda floppy where there's no cab in there and it's trying to look like a mega-cab. Finally a real crew cab! The 3" exhaust makes me think either the Hemi will still be the base engine in the HD or a V6 will be offered for better mileage for those who need to carry weight rather than tow it. I hope it looks like the '09 1500 Ram. Just hopeful speculation of course...

No real secrets here.... The standard power will be the 5.7L Hemi which in 2009 goes to 390 HP. The Diesel version will be the carryover 6.7L Cummins that when introduced last year Dodge stated that it already met 2011 emissions regulations.

2009.5 or 2010 DuraMax will have 750 ft-lbs and the Allison will be upgraded to a 12-speed (basically adding an "over-under" stage at the output shaft).

What's up with the hubs? Are they manual now? It looked like a black hole in the center. I might just be seeing things.
Happy trails!!

Looks like a Ford, so I like it.
Just kidding. For us, we don't really care too much about torque etc...show us better MPG's and you get our attention.

One of the pictures shows a close up of the hubs. There's just black tape over them, likely trying to cover the ram's head.
Hannibal, on closer inspection, I agree the Megacab may be an intentional add-on. Time will tell.

The Megacab truck is too much cab and not enough pickup bed. The Quad Cab truck is fine if you wanted an extended cab in a Dodge, but it's a far cry from a real crew cab. Dodge would be very smart to eliminate the Megacab/shortbed and make a standard size crew cab and make it available with both a long or short bed, with single or dual wheels.

It's no secret that Dodge has a true Crew Cab coming with the new Ram 1500 this fall....
