Nothing special at all, a roll of 4 ft screen some canvas, PVC, some sew on velcro and some stick on. All from Home Depot. Oh, and lots of Diet Coke for the "seamstress" I'll post more pics when we're done.
Lord, grant me the senility to not recognize the people I don't like, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference
You have exactly the opposite situation as me! I have one I bought 6 months ago, but no energy to go do the work to install it! Of course I live near Houston and I would have to work in the heat and not use it anyway until the fall. For now, I'll just keeping thinking about it with no action to follow for a while.
Simple pvc frame right now, we're gonna test it and add more supports if needed. The screen is 4ft high but the rolls come in 25ft lengths so it's wider than that. She takes a 3" strip of canvas and folds it over the screen then sews it together then sews that to the canvas. We're not building this to withstand a monsoon, but so far it seems ok.
