After contacting Winnebago I would find another dealer. Winnebago made the motorhome in a few days and the dealer can't repair it in 126+ days? I started RVing in 1972 and have been fulltiming the last nine years and I have never left a RV at a dealer for repairs. I wait in the customer lounge until its fixed.

I think you are receiving some great advice here. They should extend the warranty and tell them this is what you expect. Maybe even refer you to a better service department. Can you tell us what is wrong with your RV and why it has been 126 days? That is unreal!!!

Warrenty run out is the time to check out the folder.. the folder is where you kept all the info on past problems that you had taken care of, ones that were written up by a service teck, and ones that you verbly compained of.. of the last mentioned, get to the service desk of your dealer and get an appointment for future repairs. also email the manufacture of the rig, its systems and ask for a return answer. Keep all this in a folder to document that you need assistance in the future.. when the warrenty runs out, it does not mean that pre-run-out items are denied.. they will be if you do not document. Emails well written are good evidence of intention by all parties..

On my first American Coach I had some problems that caused it to be in the shop for about 90 days. It was more of a crappy dealer problem than a coach problem. I requested and was granted an extension of warranty for 6 months. I suggest that you request an extension of warranty and submit a letter to the dealer and manufacturer detailing any outstanding issues you still have with the coach. I also suggest that you start a direct dialogue with the manufacturer ASAP.

flrvman wrote: Ibligh: Extended warranty is a term used for these contracts. Everybody knows this. We know what they are in reality. BTW, mine has warranty written on the policy and works and pays better than any factory I have ever had. JFYI. Here in WA they are BY LAW a Service Contract, this is also what they are legally called in other states, therefor the Ibligh is correct. Doesn't matter what the company calls it, it's merely a contract between you and them. Big difference when it comes to payouts and their legal responsibilities.

Well I talk to Winnebago this morning. Everything I told them was documented in our file and if I had the work orders saying that something was work on and it was not corrected before the warranty runs out that Winnebago would take care of it. Also that if any thing else comes up that they would stand behind it till it is fix.
Here is a short list of some of the things I had a concern with.
Awning not staying out
Water Heater Leak
Jacks not working right
EMS System causing many problems
Converter
And the list goes on
I guess only time will tell!!
I hope it comes back this time with everything fix!!
I guess any thing is possible

On my prior motorhome, a Fleetwood product, the warranty was set to expire before all service issues were completed. The wife wrote a letter to Fleetwood detailing the length of time our motorhome was in for repair of warranted items. Fleetwood extended the warranty to cover time lost for repairs. They also reimbursed us for payments made when the RV was in the shop. Contact with the manufacturer can be a positive experience.

Some of the problems you are having might be covered for a longer time by the mfg. of the problem products. You might check the warrantys of these products. None of them are made by Winnebago. Sounds like the Dealer is dragging his feet on the repairs.
