We have a 2007 crossroads zinger 29DB that came with Milestar tires (ST 225 75D15). We just purchased it Jan 08, and the tires are bald. We are currently traveling with the trailer, and we need to replace them before we can get back on the road. Does anyone have any recommendations as to which tires to purchase, and which tires hold up better. We have only driven it 2,000 miles (maximum estimate).

Also, we are using the trailer currently so we would like to replace the tires without moving the trailer. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to do that? We have two floor jacks that we could use to support both sides so we can remove all four tires at the same time and then replace. Does anyone have any advice or experience with doing that?

Thank you! Any help would be VERY appreciated!

Your axles must be out of alignment. My Milestar tires have over 2,000 miles on them and they still look new. Good luck.

The Milestars I had on my Keystone were recalled and replaced for free. You may want to check with your dealer. I had a choice of three replacement tires.

If you wore out the tires in 2,000 miles you have a serious problem. Need to get to a dealer or trailer shop that can check your alignment.

I agree. No way should you have worn out a set of tires in 2000 miles!
Don't spend the money on new ones until you correct the problem or they'll wear out, too.
Maxxis tires offer a radial tire in that size. They seem to be rated highly on the forum. I had them on my TT and liked them.
But first, have a QUALIFIED shop check your rig for bent axles or an out of alignment condition.

We replaced our Goodyear Marathons at the 5 year mark following a tread seperation out in the middle of nowhere. Trusted tireshop near home said stay with the Goodyears.

Maxxi's seem to have good rep here on the forum.

BUT something way out of wack if there're bald at 2K miles, or the TT came with used tires, really used!

Hi

We have a similar problem to yours. We have only traveled about 1000 miles and one of out tires is completed bald and the others are cupping and show signs of wear. We think the problem may be the link the connects to two leaf springs together because when my husband makes shap turns w/ the trailer we hear a snapping sound from them. He thinks they are binding and not straightening out casuing the tires to ride either toed in or toed out. What do you think? Do you hear any similar noises???

We have an '07 Springdale that had Milestar tires that had dry rot after less than 6 months and probably less than 1,000 miles. We asked our dealership and found out the tires were part of a huge recall. I suggest you find out if your are included in that recall, and if you have to replace them right away, find out what you need to do in order to recoup that money.

Good luck!!
