I just installed my JT's Strongarm Stabilizers today that I purchased from Tweety's. Wow, they are incredible. Thanks to all of you on this site for your wealth of knowledge. Thanks to you, my camper is rock solid now.

Very nice pics and good job. I gotta get some of those. How long did it take you and was anything tricky?

Rev,
Nice job. Now you should get a pair of these:
5th wheel pull pins
They sure make it a lot easier when setting up!

Nothing tricky, just time consuming. Between crawling back out from under the camper to go back to the garage to get more drill bits(broke 3 1/8" bits) and heading to the store to buy a 3/8 tap(the supplied self tappers wouldn't cut the frame), about 2 hours for the front and about an hour for the rear. Now that I know how to do it, I could easily cut that in half now. I have a couple more pics if anyone needs them for install purposes.

Very sano-looking. Assuming that your Sandpiper had a spare tire in the same location as my SP (305RLW), where did you relocate the spare? Mine is under the front storage area, hanging down below, right where the JTs would bolt to the frame.
I have read enough great reviews on the JTs that I would like to install a set, but that spare is rather large, and I just don't know where it would go.

Well, I removed the spare tire and cut the welds for the one piece of steel in the front that the tire pulled up to(I left the rear one as the LP pipe mounts to that one), and removed it. The spare tire has temporarily been relocated to the bed of the truck, in front of the hitch.......

As a JT user here is a tip... Use as few blocks as possible under the scissor stabilizers. I was on a site this last weekend that sloped a lot. We arrived in the dark and used about 10" of wood blocks under them and noticed it still wobbled a bit at the back. Next morning I removed about 6" of wood, lowered the stabilizers and retightened the JT's. Solid as a rock. Better to have the stabilizers way extended rather than lots of blocks - makes a bigger triangle and thus more stability. We learn by experience!
