Mounted a EU3000 Honda on a hitch rack in a ventilated box and it does great even in the 100+ Arizona heat. I have run it for over 48 hours straight with no problems as long as I am stationary. However if I am driving it will for the lack of a better word stall out for just a brief second and when it picks it rpm back up the ac seems to be trying to restart and will loose all power from the EU3000 and when I check it the overload indicator light is on. Can turn EU3000 back on and all will work for a bit then it happens again. Have not noticed if it is a time thing but seems to happens oh a curve in the road, rough road or sudden stops. Any ideas?

Is it on "econ mode" or not?

Got a 3000 in the truck box and with pair of batteries and a portable battery charger, tried to charge the batteries while driving around. Could not tell if the gen was running back there while driving, but after stopping the truck someplace, sometimes the gen was still running and sometimes not.

I think it got knocked out (fuel/air not electrical) sometimes crossing railway tracks or other big bumps but haven't done it enough to say for sure. I wondered if it had trouble getting air sometimes in the wind vortices back there too, but just can't say. All you can do is pull over and check on it every so often.

I would say starving for fuel as well. Churning up the fuel an those tanks do not have baffles which help stop this from happening. Not necessarily designed for in motion use.

I run mine while driving & have had no problems. It only takes air, fuel & fire. Fuel would be the first suspect.

Could be the oil sensor also. Mine will cut out if it's not relatively level. The oil could be moving away from the sensor on curves, etc and the sensor will cut the unit off.

okiegeezer - the Low Oil Sensor is killing the engine. You may have low oil to boot that is agrivating the problem too. But the motion of the oil while driving is why it won't keep running.
