Checck out the track itself for additional info about the race. I would differently recommend to get to the track early for the pre-race vendors and sites. It is well worth the extra time and will help to enjoy the day.

Enjoy and welcome to the NASCAR family -- :-)

Not sure what time the race is but at Talladega we left our campground at 11:00 to walk across the street to the track for a 1:30-2:00 race. By the time we walked through by the merch. trucks and crowd we made it to our seats just in time for driver intros.

If you can find the hand held battery powered fans get one. Priceless!!!! Usually you kind find the at CVS or Walgreens. Have fun and post pictures when you get back.

I watched nascar on tv for a long time. Were leaving at 7:00a.m. to drive down to Joilet, IL. Should be about a 4 hour drive.
My uncle and his son have been to this race and they said there's a lot to see.

The merchandise trailers are usually high priced, but sometimes they have discounted items that aren't selling well. Get a pair of earplugs at Lowe's. The type that look like a stethascope work well.
Enjoy the 2 hour wait to get out of the lot after the race!
Don't forget to boo when they announce J. Gordon or Ky Busch.
And of course, cheer for Junior!

I have the ear plugs already. Cheer for Junior? Just teasing. Dale Senior was my favorite driver. Nascar has not been the same since he died.
It would be real cool to see Junior win this weekend.

No waiting here. Thats why I camp. Setting up tomorrow (Wed) and not leaving until Sunday morning whenever I wake up and start moving. I'll be in the "Raceview" campground, directly across the street from the Route 66 drag strip.
