Not trying to sound like George Carlin, (may he rest in peace), but have you ever wondered why they call Class C's and B's and Super C's whay they are?
I mean, shouldn't a Class Super C really be called a Class B since it is a bit smaller than a Class A, yet bigger than a conventional C. And a Class B+ really be called a Class D since it is smaller than a C?
Who was the brainiac that sat down and thought this one out?

you got me dont know who decided to call them that,maybe class c because of the cab over beds?maybe a B should be called a V because its a van body.its to early in the day to be thinking about it anyways need coffee first.

Maybe... class b came before the class c. Back whenever... someone thought to outfit a van with what they needed. Later maybe someone expanded upon the idea, and hacked off the back of a van to make something larger, or converted a box van.
Just a thought.
Or perhaps... it was called a Class C, because to drive a box truck or van of that size work related you need a Class C lics?
The classification scheme was odd BEFORE "B+" and "Super C" got added - though they are only marketing terms, not official classifications.
Let's see.. an "A" is the largest, but "C" comes next, and then "B."
And a "B+" is really a "C" with no overhead bed.
And a "Super C" is nothing more than a really "C" on a larger chassis. Well, at least that one makes sense, given it came after the rest of the official designations.
Just for those who might be honestly confused:
The "Class" has been officially renamed to "Type," but I'll use "Class" here anyway as most of us are sticking to that.
A "Class A" is a MH built up from nothing but a chassis.
A "Class B" is a converted van - it might be really fancy and fairly large, but it start out life as a complete van of some sort.
A "Class C" is a MH built from a cutaway vehicle - usually a van chassis, but sometimes a truck of one kind or another.
A "Class B+" is an unofficial marketing term for a Class C that look kind of like a Class B - it has no large over-the cab space, but instead an aerodynamic faring that often holds some sort of entertainment center.
A "Super C" is nothing more than a Class C built form a larger-than-normal chassis. This would include a Kodiak chassis or anything up to a Freightliner, even.
A "Camper" is what you put on the back of a pickup truck.
And the list goes on for the various kinds of trailers.
How do you know George Carlin didn't name them? Except, Im sure he could have come up with something much more entertaining.
I will miss him a lot. He was like a good bottle of wine and Chevrolet's, the older they got the better they were.
