1999 Pace Arrow Vision, 275 hp, 2 slides, 36B (36 ft) Full tank gas, 3/4 propane (CW will only fill that far). Black, grey and water empty. 5000 ft climb up 80 to Yuba Gap from Sackoftomatoes. Back down to same gas station to refill. Automatic got me 6 mpg. No toad. (dreading hauling my 2001 Grand Cherokee) No generator running. $4.39 a gallon. Max of 62 mph, but uphill in 2nd at 4k rpms might have been eating into the good gas numbers as I passed loaded semi trucks.
2002 Allegro 31DA 2 slides 17200 fully loaded. + People = 18000. Towing our toad to Oregon from San Diego 8.5 to 9.4 at 62 MPH We have a gear vendors and run mostly in 3rd over 22% OD Instead of factory 28% OD. We have never gone any where of any length with out a toad or trailer.

2008 Challenger, 3 slides, 6.8L, 5spd towing 2007 Cobalt: on a 200 mile trip - outbound got 7.6 mpg, return about 8.8 mpg. Difference was due to using Tow/Haul mode of transission operation on the return leg.
My 30’ 1998 Itasca (with no slides) over a stock 1999 F53, V-10, 6.8 Liter, 275hp registers 80,769 miles. With its usual loaded weight of about 15,200 plus 2,860# Vibe on a KarKaddy dolly it has averaged 8.45 in the 27,646 miles (plus 32 hours of generator time) in the three years that I have driven it. I maintain a speed of 62 mph on interstates and 55 on other roads. As you can see from the map below we have covered quite a bit of mountain country. I believe that individual tank mpg vary too much because of traveled terrain, station topography & fuel pump nozzle sensitivity; therefore overall long term average is the only true analysis of a vehicle’s mileage.

Hi
Very interesting stuff so far. From this it sounds like we may get 9 with care. Our chassis was made in 2001 and I want to verify what the engine is but I'm guessing its the 20 valve 275hp. At a Max weight of 15,500# we may be the lightest of the bunch so there is some hope for us.I notice that almost everyone who responded runs at fairly low speeds. I wonder what the folks who go rocketing past us are getting? I wonder how much the tire inflation matters. We run at 80# or 10# over fords recommended. I do not want to go higher because the ride gets brutal!
My rig rolls out of the chocks at 20,200# with toad, and gets about 7.5mpg. Not having run a trip without the toad, I can only guess, but will make a run to San Antonio next month and will have numbers sans toad for the first time.

Not overly concerned about depreciation with this rig...
We have a 1999 Pace Arrow Vision, 36 ft, 2 slides, tag axle, packed to the brim with our stuff. Pull either a 20 ft enclosed trailer with our Harleys or our toad. Have a full Banks package. Since I learned to slow down after watching the Scan guage MPG readout, I keep it @ 61-62 MPH and get 9.0 MPG consistently on our trips
