I have a 2005 GMC 2500 HD with a 6'5" bed. Will there be enough clearance between the bikes and the trailer on turns if I put 2 moutain bikes in the bed in front of the hitch? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

I wouldn't do it. I bought a 4 bike carrier that plugs into a hitch receiver. My plan is to put a receiver on the back of the 5er and use the bike carrier. My other option is to put a receiver on the front of the truck.

I might do it in a longbed but not a shortbed.

If it's got an extended pinbox so you don't need to use a slider hitch, it should have plenty of room. The house doesn't come anywhere near the cab on extended pinbox models I've seen, even in a shortbed.

unless it is an extended pin box, i would not have anything infront of the hitch and above the bed rails.
