I have 2 jacks and I agree with OP to a point.I walk my dogs at 6 am and believe it or not they wont bark that early wont let them pee on or near an RV.They can be barkers during the day,but your country music makes me want to slit my wrist.I think a little tolerance is as important as courtesy for others is. I had a kid walk his dog on my site and let it do its business then walked away.It does happen to dog owners too.

I don't understand why dog owners don't let their dog pee and poop on their own camping lot. They have to walk them on an 18' leash. Most campgrounds require a 6' leash and most state dog laws require a 6' leash. In large campgrounds most mornings I find a dog has peed on at least one of my tires.
My summer and winter campgrounds both ban all dogs and they are immaculate.

e have or little guy to 'poopin in the street'. He knows. We have bags. He is a chihuahua but not much of a barker unless you approach the rig. Then he sees it as his job. If I introduce you, you are his friend for life.
So, if talking to the dog on a 7AM walk is bad, how about a 7AM walk with my wife, is that OK? I have to assume you are not that much of a light sleeper, and you are talking about loud rude talking by others rigs early. That is rude, whether it is a dog or a person.
I like that no marks command. have to see if my dog understands.
Oh, and to that other poster, if country music slits your wrist, what would you do with my bluegrass? I figure if I play, I'll leave the rope out for you. (G)

I am NOT a dog hater....however, I'm with OP about how others handle their dogs. We camped for a week recently and 3 things happened that irritated the He$$ out of me. 1) neighbor had one dog tied to rope outside their rig and it had barked continuously for 2 hours. I finally had my fill and went over to talk to them. They were sitting in their TT with the door open and the dog was outside. They had ANOTHER dog on the inside. I asked if that (indicating the dog) was bothering them. The woman replied that it did so I answered for her to "do something about it". To her credit, the dog didn't bark the rest of the week. 2) Went to step out of our 5er one morning and had dog poop on the ground outside of the rig.YUCK! 3) Someone in the camp had let their dog loose. It chased a kid on a bike and bit him. I don't know the outcome of this incident.
Yes, we could have moved on......(as one suggested). However, we were camping there first, we'd already paid for our time at the camp, and why would someone think that WE should leave when THEY aren't following the rules?
Yes -- dog owners DO make me mad.

I don't like old poots who don't like dogs, but I've learned how to get along with them.

We may actually stay in our first RV park this weekend so we have no experience with these issues but I do have a question. Why would anyone stay in a place packed with RV's, pets and people then complain about the animals, music, etc. Is it not a given that different life styles will clash if we wish to make everyone act right by our own standards. I bet some neighbors back home are excited to see some of us loading up the MH.

If you're a dog owner, non-dog owners are the WPITW. If you're a non-dog owner, dog owners are the WPITW. Feel free to substitute anything for "dog owner". Its human nature.
