My vote is Grand Canyon. We were there in June (although not camping).

I don't care how many photos or videos you have seen of the GC, it will take your breath away. It may be crowded (yes, it is touristy).

I've traveled quite a bit and this trip did not disappoint. Simply spectacular!

Have fun...where ever you go!

Since you will be coming from Yellowstone, I'd do Glacier. You're pretty much up there anyway.

I am leaning very strongly toward Glacier, and have read about the Going to the Sun road and it looks very spectacular. My wife is a teacher so most of our vacation time is in the summer, however a spring break trip to the Grand Canyon sounds like a better idea due to the heat in the summer.
Am I reading correctly that in a car if we went into Canada that all we would require is a Drivers license, and a Birth Certificate at the border? This might be a great chance to add Canada to our sons list of places visited.
The Adventure Caravan itinerary website? Several names close to it in Google…
Thank you all so much for the replies; I will post back with our little adventure updates.

I have to agree with everyone else. Go for Glacier. We have been to all of them but would not look forward to the desert in August. There a lot to see with just the Rocky Mtns., Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier and the Black Hills. Utah and Arizona are much nicer in the Spring.

Wherever you decide to go, have a safe journey and a great time!

As most of the others have said, go to Glacier. We hit GC, Zion, & Bryce in July 2005 and it was miserable. 115 degrees at Zion. Since it is August, I would go North to Glacier. We went to GTNP, Yellowstone, and Glacier in June. It was cold, and snowed on us the first 6 days, but it was wonderful. Save your SW trip for early June. That way you avoid the heat and wildfire season. Enjoy your trip.
