I second the Eternabond tape. I'm getting ready to re-seal all my rubber roof joints and it should be the last time I have to do anything with re-sealing.
I used some of this to tape up the wall panel joints in my inground swimming pool when I opened it this summer. It's been underwater since and this stuff really sticks good.

Eternabond, I just did my 37 footer both sides and rear and refer vent. . Biggest part of job is taking off all the old sealer and cleaning it good .I used Laquer thinner as eternabond recommends. well we had a heck of a wind ,rain, and hail storm today and it does as well as everyone says. It took me a day to just remove and clean each side, yours may not be as bad if people who owned it before me did not just keep going over the old sealer. But now it is done right and looks good and does not leak. got mine at www.bigrocksupply.com they were the cheapest supplier I could find 49.95 roll 4"x50'

Why did you remove all the old sealer?
Was it silicone?
If I remember correctly the Eternabond instructions say it can be put over the old sealer if it wasn't silicone.
Mine has the Dicor rubber roof sealer which is a real pain to get off but it's not been over calked so I was planning on just cleaning good and putting the Eternabond over it.

Like the guy said at the RV Center, EternaBond is kind of like magic. On the front seem I just went over everything and that was OK. I am in the process of doing the rear now and when deeper.
The rubber did not contact the decking at rear cap seam. Because the seam had opened up on the sides near the top a few screws had rusted out so I removed the plastic cover and then all of the metal strip. After getting it all cleaned out we with over it with the lacquer thinner as instructed we ran a 4" band of the Web Seal EternaBond from eave to eave. We ran 1" on the gel coat cap and 3" on to the rubber. For some reason the rear end cap goes over the decking instead of butt flush fit like the front and that is why there is about 1" of rubber not glued to the decking so the 3" of EternaBond beefs up that area in case of a sharp limb, etc.
We got the "bumper" (if you call a piece of fiberglass a bumper) reinstalled tonight and now can reinstall the metal strip and plastic cover. This time we will run another 4" strip over the top of everything from eave to eave and reseal the sides.
The only decay we found was the two 4" x 12.5" pieces of the skirting that the bumper screws into that I repaired by replacing the 1" of plywood inside each piece of the skirting.
Ours is a 1993 Georgie Boy Pursuit body style produced 93-99 but I think the rear end caps where about the same for most all Georgie Boy lines of that vintage in case you own a GBM of that era. Water was getting behind side seam caulking where it met the rubber roof. Now it is better sealed then when new. Just in case water gets into those two pieces of skirting again it will now drain out.
Since over the last 15 years the end cap seal has messed up due to bad driving on both of the lower skirt edges I am going to cut the 20'+ plastic cap covering the metal strip in the middle. This will let me place the "bruised" ends on top out of sight and under a layer of EternaBond tape and the new like part that was on top so it is where it will be seen now.
While these kinds of things cost little money but do take some time one can really change the first impression an older MH makes. The Liquid ICE Clay Bar and Liquid Ice Polish is really doing a good job of making it shine.

Eternabond will not stick to silicone. If you have good contact with the roof material you can bridge old caulk in the center. It would take about 1" of good contact on each side. On my previous '06 Pace Arrow I did all of the edges, front rear & sides, plus around all ACs, vents, etc. and never had a leak. Mine was strictly a preventive measure. Wwith 4" wide tape you shouldn't have much problem. One thing to remember is to be careful when working with Eternabond. If it touches something it is there. It is very difficult to remove if you get it in the wrong place.

I removed the sealer because I wanted it done right and also to see if there was any problems with the seams . I found that quite a few screws needed retightening as after 14 years they were backed off slightly. I also was able to see if there were any other problems .also it made for a much neater and clean job.Now the water does not puddle up and remain on roof with the 1/2" of built up sealer that was on there,it pretty much just runs off. Yes it was a lot of work but looks nice .
