Anyone have any experience or opinions on the Max Sport TT? I specifically like the MS26BHS floor plan. I have seen some negative comments(like most brands out there) about R-Vision. I spoke to a sales rep at RVW and was told by two different individuals that several years ago R-Vision was bought out and ever since then they have been putting out really nice TT. They said that under the old owners that they did see a good many more problems then let's say the Rockwoods that they sell. Anyway, just looking for a little feedback one way or the other. I would hate to buy a TT only to find out I made a huge mistake. Thanks.

I use to hear a lot of negatives about R-Vision products on here. They were bought out by Monaco Coach about 4 years ago if I remember correctly. I don't read to much about them on here - so they can't be half bad!

I would try to inspect some locally before buying one online, this will allow you to see if they have indeed improved. I think they have a owners site too, perhaps they can be of some help?

Go here. This is the R-Vision site. I have an R-vision Trail Bay 31BH. I have had it since 06. We purchased it new and only had a few minor issues, none of which were manufactured by R-vision. We have spent over 100 nights in ours in the past two years. The Max Sport is extremely entry level. It doesn't have radius windows or doors.... kinda old school. If you are trying to keep your weight down, consider the Max light. It is quite impressive. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks for the info. We are kind of stuck between a hybrid and a TT. The hybrid offers us the floor space and room that we want but it would be nice to have something fully enclosed. Seems like I would need to stay some where around 4200 dry since I have an 03 Trailblazer with the 3.73 rear and the 5.3 V8 with a 7000 tow capacity. No doubt I will have the TV maxed out which reduced my tow capacity to 6100. I figure if I have a 4200 dry weight and add 1000 pounds just for good measure, that will keep me far enough below my max.

The problem seems to be that the TT's that we like are around 4700 dry weight and it is getting pretty close. Not sure what to do. Thanks again for the info.

We just traded our Bantam by R Vision for a Jayco. To be honest with you I do not see much difference in quality. The Jayco offers more amenities, it has bigger tanks, a more comfy mattress and a much better web site. But still has its fair share of staples that are half out leaving rough edges, a shower that needs to be recaulked before we use it, drawers and shelves need to be sanded because of all the rough cuts leaving plenty of potential splinters. We never had to sand edges or caulk the shower in the Bantam.
Bottom line is quality is what your willing to put up with, or do yourself. This Jayco may outlast our Bantam, but did need work to bring it up to our standards, and like many we did it.
It amazes me that no rv manufacture that I'm aware of has a 36 month or greater warranty, they don't even believe in their product.

To tell you the truth, I am not really impressed with the
Jayco. My buddy has an 07 29FBK. He hasn't had any major problems but the fit and finish were sub par compared to our Trail Bay. Granted, the TB is at the top of the food chain in R-visions line up but the Jayco is highly recommended by numerous people. It is a nice unit but lacks some of the options we have on ours. The options that it does have, are not of the same quality that our is. His cabinet face frames are not wood, they are particle board. I suppose, the lower end R-vision's are the same way. The faucets in his are plastic, ours are metal. JMO

I just purchased a Max-Lite 28' TT 3 months ago and it is great ! The dry weight is 4,800 lbs. and I pull it with a Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L. The Max Sport is entry level and I would suggest the Max-Lite. The Max-Lite is loaded with all options. Why not spend a little more and get all the options? I looked at both before I bought, and I am glad I went with the Max-Lite. I am sure the Max Sport is a good TT. I went from a pop-up and wanted the extra options. I know a sales manager at R-Vision and will give you his # if you want. He is very helpful and can answer all your questions. I talked to him several times before I purchased. Good Luck..

Can't comment directly about the Max-Sport, but we had a 2005 30QBSS Trail Cruiser for three years and have to say it was very good to us. Came from the factory with the usual fit and finish issues but after the dealer got through with it is was nearly perfect. Only major problem was the slide seal leaked which the dealer replaced under warranty at the end of the first season. After that we had virtually no problems.

The Max-Sports are R-Vision's entry level line -- nothing particularly bad about them (they're certainly light weight) but I would tend to agree with the prevous recommendation about buying a slightly upscale model would probably be worth it.

Anyway, based on our positive experience, if we ever decide to go back to a stick-and-tin box trailer I wouldn't have an qualms about buying R-Vision again. Just be sure you have a GOOD dealer backing the sale.

Thanks for the input. I do like the Max-Lite but the problem is that they are a little too heavy in the floorplan. We have two girls 5 and 4 and just found out twins on the way ...needless to say this has changed our criteria somewhat. I think the problem is that we want the beds with the floor space. It tends to be one or the other. I have looked at just about every floor plan out there....I think. Need to stay around or under 5500 loaded and ready to go.

When you say entry level TT, what does that mean? Worse quality or just not as many extras?
