I had posted this onto the bottom of another thread but think it is really a new topic and would appreciate any feed back.

As one who will be looking into workamping next week for the 2009 season this site has been helpfull. Question: Has anyone ran into any legal problems leaving a CG before agreed time was up? Perhaps a situation was not at all what was promised. I would hate to get stuck in a situation that was 180 degrees from what I signed on for.

There is no legal ramifications, unless you sign a contract and we have only signed one such instrument. The largest problem could be a reference down the road or the two businesses talking and that would be it. I would not worry about any consequences. Yes we have left two early, one for a better job and one for failure to pay as promised, which was the one with a contract, so it actually worked to our favor.

We left a KOA in GA because the owners where just down right rude. Another employee told lies about us and even sent the owners false e-mails blaming us. There was no contract and we happily walked away.
We stayed in the area and the good Lord provided my husband with a permanent job close by, so no more work camping for us. We were never worried about references from these rude owners because no one in the community had a good thing to say about them - LOL

My advice to anyone work camping is don't sign anything!!!
