I'm trying to get clarification on what products to use to maintain slideouts. The rubber that surrounds the slide - what to spray on them to keep them pliable? I've seen in publications that some people say the use of Armor-All is OK.
Now comes the gearing mechanism. The instructions are to use a product that doesn't buildup grease. What readily available product should be used. Looking for something that can be purchased at a hardware store rather than Camping World for instance.

Newmar told me to use 303 on the seals. It protects them keeps them from sticking and tearing when the slide is extended. I have never thought about lubing the mechanism. Probably should look into that???

I wax the sides of the slide with some slippery silicone wax.

A spray on "dry lube" is good for the tracks, etc.

You can use baby powder on your slide out seals. Inner tubes use to come packaged in baby or talcum powder. 303 Protectant works great and no doubt lasts longer, but talcum powder is cheap!

Use only 303 on the seals and on the slides useing only Lube thats specially made for the tracks NOTHING that could make dirt stick to the gears thats why manufactures say use the slide lube http://store.dan-marcrvparts.com/15ozrvandcas.html
