My 2006 Weekend Warrior is due for new tires. It looks like there is plenty of horizontal clearance for 16" tires. However, there is little clearance between the top, inside edge of the tire and inner wheel well side (center tire only).
Were 16" tires an option on the 2006 models, and if so, what size were they?

I think mine are about 30" dia.???
My bud has a WW LE3505 and there is plenty of room.
My axels are flipped and his are too. You may need to flip the axels.
Scratch that. . . they were standard on later models. . . you shouldn't have a problem fitting them.

16" tires were standard on 07 and newer models but Warrior also started adding a 2X4 spacer to lift the trailer to allow the 16" tires to fit.
You can get 16" tires to fit on a stock height 06 trailer, but you have to go 225/75 size tires.
I did this on my first Warrior.
When I ordered my 06, I had the 2X4 spacer added which lifted the trailer and my 16" tires fit no problem. I could even go to 235/85 if I wanted to.

Going to 16" is well worth the effort...any frame/hitch-install shop can weld the 2" blocks to the frame.

I'd prefer not raise the trailer with blocks. I will do as "Lincster" says and try to stick with 225/75/16. Vertically there looks like enough clearance, and space between tires is substantial. The only issue looked like clearance between inner sidewall and fender well, but the 225/75 should maintain the clearance.
Thanks for the advice. Any recommendations on a 225/75/16 ?

Something else to consider is picking a tire size that is available everywhere. You don't want to end up with a couple flats and be stuck because you have an odd sized tire. I'm not saying the 225/75/16's are odd size. . . I don't know. I would just suggest checking around. Most towns have a Schwab. If they tend to have them then you are probably fine.
Good luck with the changeout.

If you are going to do it, do it right the first time and get Michelin XPS ribs.
Also, get Eagly Alloy Wheels, 0550-7766 if I remember right. These have some backspacing to them to help move the tire away from the inner fender and not rub.
You need 6 on 5.5 lug nut to fit the Warrior axles.
The wheels are what Aaron has in his pix above.

If you have the spring hangers shown in the first photo, you probably will not be able to put 16" wheels on your '06 unless you had the extra 2"x 4" option added by WW. The second photo is my '06 after WW did warranty repairs in March of this year under their lifetime structural warranty. It now will handle 16" wheels with the added height.

Ok. I've got the old fashioned hangers, and new hangers/blocks/rims/tires is just not $$$ possible right now.
So the next question is, are the stock 15" rims capable of, or rated for the pressure of an "E" rated/10 Ply 15" tire (80 PSI)? I could get Maxxis tires in "E" rating which would represent a substantial upgrade. It's not a Michelin XPS, but I've got to work with what I've got.
