Ok. I've got the old fashioned hangers, and new hangers/blocks/rims/tires is just not $$$ possible right now.

So the next question is, are the stock 15" rims capable of, or rated for the pressure of an "E" rated/10 Ply 15" tire (80 PSI)? I could get Maxxis tires in "E" rating which would represent a substantial upgrade. It's not a Michelin XPS, but I've got to work with what I've got.

I don't remember if those stock WW wheels are rated to 80 PSI. I think it is stamped on the inside the rim, so the tire has to come off to see what it's rated to. Someone had previously posted about that.

Everywhere a roadblock!!!! I'll pull one and check. I actually spoke to a "tech" at WW (Yup, they answered the phone) who said the "E"'s should be fine at 80 PSI. But I guess I'll have to look at the rim/wheel and confirm. Thanks everybody for your help.

Still contemplating the tire situation. It appears that some of the steel wheels are rated by weight. And some of the aluminum wheels are rated by PSI. I find it hard to believe that my 15" steel WW wheels are rated at 65PSI max, and that is the recommended pressure, which could easily be exceeded as soon as the tire heats up.

I did come across this ad at http://store.weekendwarriorgear.com/wewatrtiandc.html

"ST 225/75R15 Weekend Warrior Trailer Tires and Chrome rims for sale. They are brand new out of the factory. The rims are 6 lug and the tires are Load Range E and made for trailers. Pick-up is available in Southern California."

These are the same wheels I have, and the tires shown are "E" rated Transmasters. Anybody running these? Or can confirm that these were a WW factory option?

This afternoon I bought Michelin LTX 225 75R 16 Load Range E for $136 tire and 16 inch Greenball Wheels (almost exactly what was on my Raptor and like the one in the pic above) 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern for $85 a wheel. Got 'em from Discount Tire. Great service. The rim is rated at 3200 lbs. The tire is rated at 2680 lbs. I bought 7 for my Raptor (6 plus the spare). This was an upgrade from a 15 setup. I looked for almost 2 weeks long and hard. This was what I came up with after doing the homework. The XPS Rib is a great tire, as well.

Well, I've pulled a rim and there is NO rating information inside the rim or on the exterior inner or outer surface. NO PSI, and NO maximum load. Several tire stores have said that if the "E" rated 15" Maxxis tire requires a 15x6 rim (which is what they are), then I should be fine.

So, I am ordering (7) Maxxis 225/75/R15 "E"'s and mount them to the original rims.

I was told by WW that my original '06 wheels were not rated to handle the 80 psi necessary for E rated tires. I did the block lift and went with 16" E rated xps ribs.

I would not put 80 psi on stock '06 WW 15" wheels.

Interesting. WW told me the "E"'s with 80 PSI should be fine (see earlier post). Are your's 15"x6", and are they 6 lug?
