We want to stay somewhere in South Florida this winter. I am checking on the keys but they are way expensive. Now maybe around Naples, Ft Myers or somewhere down there. But were open on location. Our perfect campground would have fishing, swimming (pool or beach), near or on a beach, and wifi. We would probably hold up there for 2-4 months. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great. Thank again for all the help.

Friends of mine have a condo in Bonita Springs, between Naples and Ft. Myers. They've given us the keys the last 4 spring recesses and said go have fun. It's a great area, lots of nice beaches and restaurants. There is a park closeby that is a combo of park model mobiles, and spaces on the other side for weekly, monthly occupants. It is nothing fancy, but it is a gated place, nice area, well kept. I believe there is a clubhouse, and perhaps a pool. I can't recall the name but I' m sure I could find it with a little research. I think it had River in it. May be on Wiggins Pass Rd. If you need more info, let me know.
We we in Key West last week and stayed at Geiger Key at MM 10. Nice small park with open air waterfront Restaurant and Bar on site. Good food and good prices and nice local people. They are very pet friendly and you can bring them to the Restaurant. We had asked about day care for "Peaches" and Hope the manager said just leave her in the RV and they would check on her. Here is a link to my pics Also has wi-fi on the deck.

If you want to stay in one of the nicer parks in SW Florida in January and February make your reservations in August. At least that was the case prior to this year. With the high gas prices maybe rates will come down and/or more sites will be available.
One of the nicer RV parks in Fort Myers is Gulf Waters. Although not on that long list (above), it is just off Summerlin Road, at the Pine Road turn off for Ft. Myers Beach. The lots there are owned, but if available, are rented by the resort. It is not inexpensive, but it is roomy and convenient.
