We are looking at ordering a 2009 Seneca FS and were wondering what options are must haves or ones that are nice to have and ones that you could live without.

Provincial Glazed Maple Wood Package
Convection Microwave
Euro Chair ILO Swivel Chair
Euro Chair ILO Recliner
Electric, Leather Sofa
8 cu. ft. Refrigerator with Ice Maker
Cab Over Bunk w/26" LCD TV
Winegard® Dome Satellite Dish
Satellite Kit
19" LCD HDTV, Exterior Door Side
8000 Watt Diesel Generator
Diamond Shield Paint Protection Film
Thermal Pane Tinted Safety Glass Windows
Brookstone Premium Paint Package
Cordovan Interior Decor
Nickel Interior Decor
Chocolate Interior Decor
We know we want the cab over bunk but other than that I'm not sure what else.
I know that everyone has different opinions but just trying to get a feel as to what everyone likes.

Thanks,

Jan

Jan how many people are you trying to sleep in this unit?
I personaly like the front entertianment unit it also has a single slideout bunk
Provincial Glazed Maple Wood Package - Makes interior look dark and smaller
Convection Microwave - Deletes the oven (noboby uses anyway)and give more cupboard space
Euro Chair ILO Swivel Chair - looks nice not real comfortable though
Electric, Leather Sofa - J sofa not a pullout bed good for kids only
8 cu. ft. Refrigerator with Ice Maker - Ice maker takes up some of that 8 cu ft
Winegard® Dome Satellite Dish - Don`t know only need local news when camping
19" LCD HDTV, Exterior Door Side - Standard equipment use the master bedroom tv for the outside hookup its the easiest to move around
8000 Watt Diesel Generator - probably overkill as 6000 watt seems to do the job
Diamond Shield Paint Protection Film - not an option, try and get one without it
Thermal Pane Tinted Safety Glass Windows - we have them as we are in Canada
Premium Paint Package - a must have try polishing 10 year old gel coat
thats just my preferances though
for more you can check out first impressions

Get the thermal pane windows! I agree with billystoys that the Euro chair is not very comfortable. I have a KingDome in-motion satellite system that has works great. Also, before you take delivery, have the dealer install a track bar such as the Henderson's Super Steer. All of the other stuff is great once you are parked at the campground, but the track bar will make driving the coach 100% better. I consider the track-bar to be my best RV accessory purchase to date. Welcome to the forum and have fun researching your future MH.

Here is my two cents worth- I would love to have sattelite
My 6k watt gen set got its first 50 hours form a round trip to disney and back from kentucky running a bottle warmer, microwave and the AC. works fine.
I have the entertainment center and love it. There is a sliding bunk under it for my oldest son.
The full body paint is the way to go
I have never owned a convection oven so I have no opinion.
I do not have thermal pane windows but I am sure they are a good value.

I know if I was ordering a coach I am just the kind of guy who checks all of the above on the option sheet. Mine was on the lot. I have no regrets.

I don't have the euro chair, but the barrel chair is worthless, so I would replace it. Does the 09 come with 2 ac units standard? If not, you may want to consider it. I 2nd the thermo pane windows and the body paint. We have the ice maker, and it does take up 40% of the freezer space, so something to consider. I have a 7.5kw generator and it can run everything. I guess if you do the math you can figure out if the 6k unit is adequate (add up the usage from 2 a/c units, the microwave, and televisions).

I should clarify the chair thing. One of the units we looked at on the lot was a leftover 2006 34ss with the euro chair. That one was comfortable, not real sure why they changed them in 2008, but they are definitely different. The other was a 2008 36fs with the barrel chair and it was as JohnlnAz said WORTHLESS, even more uncomfortable than the new euro chair. However it is free and either way you will most likely buy an upgrade from the local furniture store. I`m not a big fan of spending money twice so if I had it to do again I would save the money on the euro chair option and use it for a good one down at the local furniture store.
Now it could just be my imagination but I`d almost swear the thermopane windows do seem to make it a little quieter inside.
just a thought for what its worth

Thanks for the info and welcome!
As far as the number of people we have 4 monsters I mean kids plus my mother and any odd assortment of nieces and nephews so I thought that the bunk above the cab would be nice. It's good to know about the windows and paint package we will definitely do those.
Does anyone have a pic of the entertainment center with the single bunk? Maybe we could make that work. As far as the 8K generator this is the one we aren't really sure about. I don't think that we will need it but DH does. The satallite I'd like to do without but DH thinks otherwise.
RV direct has some 08 in stock but they don't have the bunk over the cab so we thought maybe we should do a 09 that way we could do order the bed over cab. I don't know we are still trying to research all of our options.
Anybody want to share how many people fit comfortably??
Thanks again,
Jan

From a dealers set of pictures of the Seneca FS there appears to not be slide out bunk on this model.
