Just installed progressive industries HW30 with remote. Works great it displays volts, amps and HZ. And shows error codes. I have read a couple of posts of people connecting there RV to 240V causing a lot of damage. I check with a volt meter before plugging in to any outlet. The HW 30 gives an other level of protection. IMOP was well worth the $249.00 I paid

We were recently staying at a RV park in Branson where the power was lost due to a severe electrical storm. The parks mgr. went to each RV advising them to unplug from the box to avoid a power surge once the service was restored. A couple rigs ignored the warning and were in deed damaged due to the surge. We always use ours.

Looks like I am out there by myself again. I have never had a surge protector, and I don't use a water pressure regulator. I have never had a problem.
That does NOT mean I am telling anybody they don't need one! I am simply stating what I have done, nothing more.

A combo entertainment unit replaced under warranty and shared the cost of a TV replacement before installing the progressive industries unit. I look at it as cheap insurance although at a couple hundred presidents, cheap . . . .
