I put the rinser on the mid-side of the tank facing the rear. Of course it is a 21SS.
It cleans the sensor and hits all else well.
No broken knuckles using a hole saw.

I am on my third one installed by the dealer in 8 months, all three have leaked externally,(only fresh water, no black water), and none of the three spin while in the tank. Just yesterday I used the third one for the first time, it made a lot of spraying water noise when the tank was empty, but absolutely none directed where I could see in right below the toilet. It is mounted about six inches below and to the side of the toilet flange, but still I could see no spray. I am not too impressed either.

I chose not to drill my black tank at this time for just such reasons.I made a wand from 1/2 inch plastic water line and attach it to my bathroom sink with a faucet adapter.I learned another method that works excellent is dumping 2 gallons of water with some detergent in the tank when leaving for your trip.It will slosh and churn while you drive.Makes a nice poo poo smoothie .The black tank takes only basic care to maintain.I,ll give mine the full treatment at the end of the season.

I mounted mine opposite the "exit" and sensors. it is on a Jayco 232, but I had to use the "wedge" since the tank is sloped.

I sent an email to the manufacturer about the performance of the Tornado. They are sending me a new one. They were very quick to respond and said to contact them immediately if the new one did not perform as designed. That's very good customer service. I'll let you know how the new one works.
Chuck_S, my ROO 23SS is a 2008 model. But, some of the early 2008's were 7.5' wide. So I have the same clearance problem you had for the install on your 23SS. I will use the same method you used to install the Tornado. Thanks for explaining your install process. I was at a loss on how you did it.

Cutting with a hole saw and a ratchet wrench is tedious but does put the Tornado at the far end of the tank.
However, others are reporting equally good results with side mounting.
Not only does the hole need to be cut with a ratchet, the mounting screws need to be as well unless you have a very short screw driver!
The 90° fitting takes the kink out of the water line.

If you use the hole saw with a ratchet, be sure to duct tape it on. I remember reading several posts a year or two ago where the saw fell off of the ratchet and into the tank just as it made it through the wall. Most of them seemed to be able to fish it out, but be on the safe side and use tape.

I received the replacement Tornado from the mfg. The new Tornado spins and sprays exactly the way that I expected it was designed to do. I do not see any physical difference in the two. However, there is a tremendous difference in the performance of the first Tornado that I bought vs. the replacement from the mfg. I plan to install the Tornado as Chuck_S installed his. Lesson learned, try your new Torando with a hose outside the tank before you install it.
