Brand new Norcold 641 fridge. Setting 6 out of 9; Frost on cooling fins in fridge; not a solid block of ice but there is frost on it. It has food in it but it's not packed completely full, enough for the weekend. Is this normal, how much is normal? Inside temp is 37 degrees and I do have a one of those little blue DD fans on the bottom shelf. The manual says it periodically heats the fins to defrost the, other wise I have to empty it and defrost it; it's only been on about 30 hours, from 11PM last night to 7AM this AM it hasn't changed any, still frosted. I don't remember my old Dometic doing that. I heard Norcold was 'spose to be better than Dometic, but I've found a few things that are "odd" about the Norcold; I'm sure there's +/-'s with both huh?

Check door seals using the one dollar bill metod... close door on dollar... it should hold it tightly. If you can pull dollar out easily... bad seals. Unit will defrost fins about every 60 hrs.
Thanks guys. I certainly hope I don't have bad seals, it's a brand new unit... and I don't have a $1 bill since I just spent a $1000 on the fridge , will pennies work?... I'll giver 'er the $1 test after work.
