That's a great idea. Each person elected to congress is allowed one 4 year term. That way they don't spend most of their time trying to get re-elected.


And then they will collect their retirement check and live happily ever after.

So now we will be spending more every 4 years congress and 6 for senators and then hiring another unknown only to retire them in 4 or 6 years! We definitely need to change the rules on their retirement polices, there health care alone costs more than the average community health care. We have to retire them and cut off all benefits say after 1 year of being retired, let them keep their health care as long as they pay a very large premium such as a normal person losing there job and using cobra to maintain health care . I have more ideas on retirement for elected officials but don’t want to hog the whole thread.
