We're thinking about upgrading to a newer motorhome, and thinking diesel. I was impressed with the 39' Providence looked at and drove.
I would appreciate some advice, about the differences. The ones we are looking at have 330 cat., with allison trans, freightliner chassis. We are looking at a 2003, and a 2005, both have under 30K miles, and we kinda favor the floor plain on the 03. Not at all familar with the diesel, and hoping you guys will give me some help.

We just got ours 07 providence. We enjoy the ride and pull even here in Colorado with the steep climes with a Jeep toad. Enjoy the ride with a smile.

We have the sister ship which is an 05 Excursion which we bought new. Love it and I would suggest that there are many updates on the O5 vs the 03 and would NOT consider the older one for that reason. Updates like the higher profile, Cat 350 vs 330 and full body paint to name some major ones.

We just bot an '08 40-X, and there is a world of differance between it, and an '06. As another poster said, there are many new upgrades every year, so go as new as you can afford. As for our '08, we love it. We traded an '07 Southwind 37C gasser for it, and we thought that coach was great, until we drove the Providence. Happy hunting !!
